PT8 / older plugins & PPC mac. best kept secret?

Hi,

Had about 10 plugins that were officially out of date and wouldn't work in PT8. on PPC (Power PC G5)
Just bracing myself for the upgrade cost for some of them..

Machfive v1 to v2 ..... £150
Antares V4 to Evo ..... £130
Soundtoys sound blender..... v2 to v3 £x
Soundtoys pitch doctor..... v2 to v3 £x

Vocalign project..... not working untill
Stylus rmx ......not working untill
Trilogy bass..... not working untill

Even Emagic epic TDM from 2003 not working until



The simple solution was to simply rename these plugins in the plugins folder with a .dpm at the end

You need to update these to v3.x anyway if you want to not come across some bugs in v7.4.

I am away from my notes, so I can't be specific. Just trust me when I say there are some issues with the previous versions when used with v7.4 that are fixed with v3.x.
