I've had 4 driver (2 F A Porche, 2 of the new ones) and they have all been spot on, I've also had two of the F A Porche smaller firewire laptop drives and all of them have been great.

There have been a LOT of dead Porsche drives over the years on the DUC....while PT compatible the Lacies have less than stellar reputation. The d2 series has more fans but they have had fair amount of failures also. My d2 has been fine so far but keeping back ups is always a good idea.
