Default Having problems CHECK YOUR I/O

When I first started using PT , I had some issues that I could not figure out.
I tried everything NO SOUND IN , NO SOUND OUT . it was driving me bonkers.
CHECK YOUR I/O is it labelled properly so it is going where you think it is .
Is there even a I/O path that you are trying to use.

STILL NO LUCK

Check to see if your sound device for your cpu is using your PT hardware.

POWER ON AND OFF PROCEDURE MATTERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this can cause a lot to most of the problems (at least for myself) that a new PT user could have. But if all that fails

READ THE MANUAL
THEN READ IT AGAIN

My manual stays within arms reach of me at all times.
There is always something you would like to learn and it IS in the manual.
Pro Tools is filled with features and capabilities . Iv been using PT for a few years and I still stumble across things I didn't even know were possible.
So READ THE MANUAL this will at least give you an idea of what PT can do for you.
Also this is the very first place you should go to if you have a problem with Pro Tools. Pro Tools is very easy to use IF YOU READ THE MANUAL.

Stop pulling out your hair and study up on PT you will gain a much greater enjoyment if you can actually do the things you want to do with it.
When you have problems, its all in the manual, this is a peeve to many on the DUC,
people who want to learn PT ask 20 questions a day but never READ THE MANUAL,
We all understand that sometimes you just get stuck and there is lots of folks on here that love to help people.
Thats what the duc is for. a community to assist PT uses

ENJOY PT its great
Its even better when you learn how to use it

Sometimes we bark but we don't bite...usually.
