Default New Icon for Pro Tools!

Hey Everybody!

Here's a new version of the Pro Tools icon to (especially but not exclusively) fit in with the new OS X Yosemite.

It really needed an update badly.

Well that's kind of fun, I guess, and probably won't hurt anything (virus embed potential?) but I wonder what Avid might have to say about changing their doubtlessly copyrighted icon? Don't want to pour water on someone's first-post enthusiasm, but I'm not sure this belongs here.

Icons for everything are all over the place. People have fun with it.

As for the virus potential, I have no idea.

Pro Tools Expert promoted one last year and it was fine

I just wanted to have a nice and modern looking icon for Pro Tools in the Dock and thought I'd share it with everyone.

If you like the standard one keep it
But to make people fearful of changing such a simple graphics file is ridiculous.

Good job! I'm getting ready to rebuild my music computer...the new icons will be nice to have...

Just rockin'...what more is there?

Avid should include all version types on the icon itself. For now version 10 has a 10 on it. Thanks for the preview, I see you got OSX Yosemite. I can't wait for the full version myself, I have a small partition on my MacBook myself.

I used the iTunes icon on my Mavericks version, I do like the new look. Does the look and feel of Pro Tools change in Yosemite?

No.

Except for some dialog boxes where they used the standard OS buttons.

I think it's time for Avid to give the interface a little update and get rid of these glossy effects. Not that it's ugly but they didn't change anything since Pro Tools 8.

The only thing that looks really terrible on Yosemite is the standard Pro Tools icon.
