Default New Computer Advice?

Hello everybody, I am going to buy a new computer for PT9, not planning on building it myself though. I was hoping some of you could just quickly glance over these features and let me know if I would have any problems. I'm looking at an HP computer...and if you have any other suggestions please let me know, thanks!

HP Pavilion Elite HPE-480t series

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-930 quad-core [2.8GHz, 1MB L2 + 8MB shared L3 cache]
9GB DDR3-1066MHz SDRAM [5 DIMMs]
1.5TB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s
1TB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s
1GB ATI Radeon HD 5450 [DVI, HDMI, VGA adapter]

This will cost $1230

Nice find! In any case, I would expect any i7 9xx to work as those are all 1366 and(AFAIK) all the 1366 systems are using the X58 chipset. Firewire port may or may not be compatible, but a simple card can solve that. Very interesting that Avid are now calling nVidia the graphics preference

Sweet, thanks for the heads up on the firewire, I guess I'll find out when I set it up. Thanks for the advice!

The cheapest laptop on the compatibility site is about the price of a Jaguar convertible.

i wish they would have tested the GTX470 instead of the FX580. The 470 is fully supported for mercury playback on premiere pro.

LoL

And the cheapest stationary can be traded for Trump Tower.

I wonder if Avid is going with these computers because Apples computers are like workstations, or if HP thought that it would be a good idea to market their workstations, or if it is merely a question about these computers beeing easy to get ahold of in this kind of situation.
