guitar player newbie needs basic help
I Am USING mac g4 powerbook with DIGI 002 and protools--hooked in a roland 60 syntheiser--analog and with MIDI--buttttttttttt no sound thru my mackie powered speakers--i believe everything is set right--when i record MIDI the in and out lites on digi 002----thye protools demo session plays and sounds fine----so why can't i hear my roland 60==it souns fine thru my guitar amp

Sorry if I missunderstood the question but..
sounds like you're recording midi, not audio. Midi is just instructions to the synth on what to play. If you have midi in/out rigged up correctly, you should hear the synth sounds being played back via the synth (from which you obviously need to hook up the audio output to your monitors). Alternatively record audio to an audio track in PTLE from the AUDIO out of your synth. |
