Default Memory leak/leap

About 10 times a day I get that "Pro Tools critically low on memory" warning.

I have loaded up Activity Monitor and I think that I've noticed a pattern.

My "Real Memory" for Pro Tools hovers around 1.06 GB getting as high as 1.12 then suddenly leaps to 2.2 or 2.3 at which point I get the warning. I haven't found any pattern as to what causes this leap. But the interesting thing is that it doesn't appear to be gradually creeping up as I've never seen it anywhere between 1.2 and 2.1.

The warning can come anywhere between using the session for 2 minutes and an hour i.e. pretty random.

Interesting analysis! Have you tried Big Evil's fix?
