Default What Vid Program And Do this

This is a video promoting a patch library for a VI (reFX Nexus 2). I'm wondering what programs are out there that I might be able to use to do something like this, with those kind of images, with the ability to put in changing text. I need to make a similar type video for a project and this would be kinda what I have in mind.

Not being a video production person, I wasn't sure what program(s) can be used for this sort of thing. It looks like one of the visualizers you can use with Windows media player, but with the ability to add some text stuff. What might this be? Thanks.

This is a Pro Tools forum, which does audio. Avid probably has video forums somewhere, perhaps Media Composer would be a good thing to search for?

Hi Donald, one more time @Benoni might have an answer, he's a ninja with Media Composer. If not, he might be able to point you in the right direction.

I use Corel Videostudio but I recognize it's not the best out there.

I think Adobe After Effects is the one for that kind of animations.

I edit video with Vegas Pro, which is a really cool video editing software. I really don't do animations, though. There are 3rd party video plug-ins to help create just about anything you can imagine...

MC with Boris Continuum plugins may allow you to make a limited version of this.
I do not know After Effects but would probably do a better job than MC with BCC.

My choice would be Blackmagic's Fusion There is a free version (with most of the features of Studio) or the Studio version (less than $300US). Fusion has high quality text and 3D particle generators. 3D camera moves would get you close to the complexity of the video. Fusions node based UI allows almost infinitely complex imagery. Fusion is not good with audio so timing this to the sound track accurately would be a nightmare. There are hundreds of online tutorials but it is a very steep learning curve. Ask the same question in the Blackmagic Fusion forum and you may even find out who made this.
For me watching to much of this stirred memories of party times '60's style
