PLEASE SUPPORT FULLY INTEGRATION OF ALL I/O´s OF SUCH A CONSOLE; LET OTHER MIC´PRE´s; CONVERTERS etc. BE AVAILIBLE IN HARDWARE SETUP MENUE!!!
THE THING IS, I HAD TO BUY PT LE 6.1 SEPEARTLY FOR € 90;00 AND I LOVE IT; BUT I ALSO WANNA UPGRADE MY HARDWARE WITH A CONTROL SURFACE LIKE THE FW 1884. IS IT REALLY SO UNECONOMICAL TO SUPPORT/INTEGRATE OTHER HARDWARE THAN YOURS ON PT LE SECTOR. I GUESS YOUR SALE DATA ON THE TDM/HD SYSTEMS IS HIGH ENOUGH. COME ON DIGI....... MAKE THAT SMALL STEP FOR MAKING ME MORE BIGGER STEPS!!!!!!!!!???????????????????????????????????
... i´m a owner of digi001 and the mic pre´s don´t sound so far apart professional sounding!
and i was able to compare recordings done with FW 1884 and on the other side with digi002... the FW sounds much better!!!

..."bankrup"... what a good keyword!! COME ON DIGIDESIGN... this would only be a little softwareupgrade, you know. only for recognizing some other I/O-hardware. you could sell it as a separate little soft-to-more-hardware-extansion!?

i hope they do NOT do what you keep screaming about. it would only open the gates to rampant piracy of Pro Tools software. not to mention PT would be alot more unstable, and downgrade it to a more amateurish status like that of Steinbug.

Piracy is exactly why Digi will never do this.

C'mon..... think about. Any company has the right to get for it's product what it is worth. Pro Tools is industry standard and they know it. If they made their software usable on other hardware, they would then sell huge units of software at $99 and then never see their customers again. Everybody would go buy cheaper hardware, that has more expandability, more options and do everything and more that a HD system for a quarter of the price. It would be suicide. Who would buy HD's or even 002r's (what with all of the griping about the limited I/O.

Digi sells a large number of HD's because the LE system get's PT in the hands of educators,upstarts and small businesses. This large base of people are then the"feeder group" of future HD buyers.

IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN!!
