Default standalone core audio driver - when ???

From the Core Audio page, dated May 6th:
"This initial version of the Digidesign Core Audio Driver requires some
embedded Pro Tools components. As such, it is a requirement that Pro Tools
6.0.1 or 6.1 must be installed for correct Core Audio driver operation.
If you wish to use the Digidesign Core Audio Driver without a Pro Tools
install, Digidesign will also be providing a downloadable, stand-alone
Core Audio installer on this same page in the coming weeks. Thanks for
your patience."

Today is 16th July.....this is the only thing keeping me from upgrading to OS X. I am happy using Pro Tools in OS 9, but I need to use my Digi hardware in OS X. In the coming weeks, Digi....?

Wow, you are right. The sound control panel does recognize my 002. But when I try to play something through it in Itunes the app hangs. The 002 says working but Itunes doesn't budge? Weird, what is going on here digi?

I guess a "digidesign week" has 30 days in it, not the normal 7.

So what about the coreaudio drivers coming with ProTools 6.1? Are they working with Logic, for example?

I tried the one from PT 6.01, and it didnt work here with logic. (osx 10.2.6)

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">there is no new version from 6.1. what interface are you using? I've got an Mbox, and the current coreaudio drivers work great with logic 6.1.
