Default Windows Optimization

I have been taking a look at the MUSIC XPC and Carillion systems. It seems that after close inspection... we are talking about a nicely configured computer that has been tweaked in terms of the Windows operating system. I would imagine somebody out there has the knowledge base to instruct me on how to optimize my system so it performs on the same level as these turnkey boxes. A little help please. TIA

well.. went thru all of the 26 steps as outlined in the tuning section. Unfortunately, it hasnt helped my ongoing problem. When I use a softsynth synth any lower than buffer size 1024 I get a audio "glitch" or temporary drop out in sound. This is true for every softsynth I have tryed. What now?

Not sure if SP2 is recommended yet by DIGI. Also do you have just one or two harddrives?
