Question VST Plug-ins i pro tools 8
Can Pro Tools 8 immediately work with VST plug-ins?
or should I use VST and RTAS converter?

You should check out the FXpansion tool. This tool is does a so called 'wrap' of a VST plugin. As it is wrapped you can access this in PT.

Correct - the VST/RTAS from Fxpansion is great. I was a beta tester and I love what the guys at Fxpansion are doing.

i have the fxpanion converter too just bear in mind not all vst's work.
download the demos before buying any vst's some of the vsts you cant control the knobs or the presets

the good thing is there are tons of free ones out there which makes the fxpanion wrapper well worth it
