Default help :( session must be on an audio record volume ??

Hi folks

just updated to 7.4

when i try to start a new session and click the save button, a window pops up telling me

" Session must be on an audio record volume. If permitted, set the volume(s)in question to "R" (Record) in the workspace "

can anyone help me here as i have tried going to the work space, and changing to "R" but when i do it tells me than my drive is formatted as a FAT volume and cant seem to find anything.

Thanks

Gary
