P.S. I'm a software developer in a previous lifetime, so am probably too left brain.
early or late is not exactly the point. they know about this bug, and they have to know this new release was not a complete fix before they released it. early or late, it is still off and obviously got some coding work on the audio drivers to perform.

cs2 is just a minor update, obviously not a rewrite. the original bug on the 8.04 driver is still a issue, as this "patch" does not resolve the issue.

regardless this is not good business ethics they are trying pulling on us!!

according to your methods of proof checking, that could be a possibility. of course, the earth has survived a proven ice age, thank god we have warmed up since then!!! must have been from all the cows farting back in them days!

Yeah I appreciate you and miketeachesclass's perspective. Reality is, with a new release it is classified as a 'new' bug since they have stated the original bug in 8.04 is 'fixed'. Sigh, "Please Press '1' if you require customer service". Its the way bugs are classified typically. But I feel foolish even saying this in the current environment. Excuse me.
