Default Crashing on Exit

Hi all

When I save and exit Pro Tools 10 my Laptop displays the below message after Pro tools has closed:

"Pro Tools application has stopped working"

"Check online for a solution and close the program"
"Close the Program"

When I had the Pro Tools 10 Free Trial it did the same thing on exit and that was with a different interface.

I have an Mbox now.

My laptop is a Hewlett packard pavilion

Quadcore I7

8GB Ram

1TB Hard drive

When I click on details under the message it displays the following:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: ProTools.exe
Application Version: 10.3.2.48
Application Timestamp: 50756c14

Hi, Make sure you go through Help us Help You - READ THIS Before Posting!
first, and post a SANDRA.

It could be a plugin causing it to crash on exit.

What plugins are in your session(s)?

Thanks for your reply and sorry for not posting the right info to start with.

The problem still happens when I don't use any plugins as well as if I used them on a project.

I can open a new project and straight away save and close it and it will still have the same issue.

I have fully un installed Pro Tools 10.3.2 and re installed Pro Tools 10.3.4 as well as fully un installed My mbox 3G and re installed it and the problem is still there.

Just to keep all info together, the displayed message is:

"Pro Tools application has stopped working"

"Check online for a solution and close the program"
"Close the Program"

The problem event name is APPCRASH

The same problem happened when I was running the Pro Tools 10 free trial and I was using a Focusrite Saffire 6.

The Saffire 6 is still installed along with Reaper as I have just made the move to Pro Tools and need to finish a project before fully un installing the Focusrite and Reaper. Thanks for your help

No idea really, but something to try is disabling the onboard audio.
Maybe crashing on the driver handoff.

Thanks for your replies

I'll keep you posted on any progress with this.

Strange the way it happened with the free trial and now on the fully licensed version.

Update for anyone with the same problem.

The problem was with my laptop.

The registry was shot so I ran factory re set and re installed Pro Tools and the problem has gone.

Looking over the Sandra shows a couple of red flags(maybe):
Wifi and Bluetooth should be disabled when running PT(at least until you are positive they are NOT the problem). Sandra shows only 5400 rpm drives and recording(sessions) need to be on a separate approved hard drive)7200 rpm or SSD). Integrated graphics have, in the past, been a show-stopper for PT(not so sure these days).

thanks! if the wifi /bluetooth idea doesn't work, i will just live with it..other than that crash on exit problem, my sytem works like a dream. This only happens on certain releases too. it has got to be something minor. either way, thanks.
