RME if you are using firewire or USB.. For those protocols they can not be beat.
A cheesegrater has good firewire on it so Metric Halo is also an option, they have excellent mature drivers. I think they have thunderbolt now also if you ever decide to upgrade the mac.. so.. the best of all worlds kind of thing.. they are very highly regarded for their converters and drivers. They also have the price tag to match unfortunately. PS I have a lot of UA stuff here and their native driver is slow, even if you had thunderbolt, unless you were using UA Console I'd say get another interface. You can sort of make it competitive by completely disabling IDC but it's input latency is still too high to run at say 64 buffer through the DAW and a good RTL, especially if you are not at 96k.
