Default Playlist button on D-Command

Is it broken for you guys? It does nothing in 12, and I believe it didn't work in 11 either.

Thoughts?

All good here Stig.

12 and 11. Never noticed any change in the past few years.

Thanks, Drew.

I've tried trashing PT prefs, but no dice. When I press the playlist button, none of the options light up (new, duplicate, etc). No issues with the buttons themselves as they work with other features.

I don't get it.

Have you tried resetting D Command in its menu?

I have now. No change.

However, I'm getting a little closer. It does work in sessions created in 10-12, but the session in question were originally created in PT 7.4.2, then opened in 12 after a Save copy in....

Go figure...

I suppose you could always create new sessions and Import Session Data to rebuild.

I thought so, but that doesn't work either, nor does it work if I go from the pre 7.4.2 session, close it, and create a brand new session. Something seems to "stick".

Ah well, not the end of the world. I don't have time right now to investigate further.

Thanks again.

Hi,
did you remember that the playlist button only works for the track in focus channel, not for selected tracks...

Honestly, I can't rule out pilot error. I don't use the playlist button very often, and it was a stressful week.

And now I've done all the standard troubleshooting, and rebuilt the I/O Setup for 12, so I couldn't tell if any of that fixed it, or if I was being a bonehead all along.

But it does work now, in every session.

Thanks.

I also have this problem.

The focus channel does not work anymore either. On some sessions the focus channel is stuck on one channel and when I select other channels it doesn't switch the focus channel.

On new sessions I'm doing, hitting select on a channel does not move it to the focus channel. The focus channel just isn't there anymore, its as though no track is selected.

And thus, the playlist controls (which I use constantly) do not work.

Is there any prefs that might have been reset within the ICON menus with 12? Was using 10 with no problems, upgraded to 12 and stopped working. just upgraded to 12.1 and still no fix.
