No Sound in

Hey folks,

I have a big problem. I am using mbox and PT8 but the Windows driver doesn't seem to work. I can't get anything out of my speakers (vlc, quicktime etc.).

I already played around a lot and I wouldn't say I am a dummy. I tried to reinstall PT several times, changed USB Ports and tried to change the driver. However no success so far. I even downgraded the firmware to 20, cuz I read somewhere that 22 is really only a mac patch.

I also went through those steps (http://duc.digidesign.com/showpost.p...4&postcount=22) already, but that didn't work either.

Nevertheless, can someone help me on this?

The only time I had sound (even though it was crackling) was when I removed PT8 and installed PT7. Though after the upgrade, no Sound again.

Actually now(!) I even get an error message (on vlc):

One more thing: Curiously cubase works fine. I guess Asio is working.
