In my experience of spots pic always starts at 10:00:00:00 but the sound should start 12 frames in and for a 30 sec spot end at 10:00:29:12

This is so the start and end of the spot audio is not clipped off by the auto scheduling play back machines.
Thanks Gary - you were right on. It was really odd seeing a half second of picture with no sound at the top of the spots but I guess you get used to it.

My mixes went well. I did 17 spots for Power Ranger Jungle Fury toys, that will be broadcast on most UK network and cable channels. Very SFX heavy! Too bad I won't be able to hear them!

Hi Bob will keep a look out for it and record it to my sky hd box so that I can let you know how it sounds.
My stepson watches all the sat kids stuff so should see it soon.

Out of interest, what peak levels did you end up giving them? Did you have to use a loudness measurement?

I peaked at -10. These will air on multiple stations and the producer didn't have any written specs. Because of the 'high impact' style of the spots he wanted them as loud as possible. And we did not have a loudness meter.

I don't know if something's changed recently, but do NOT use Phasescope's BBC setting - it is reading under. I have used it reliably in the past but either I was lucky or something's changed. Now the zplane edition of PPMulator is updated for PT8, use that.
