problems Recording Live onto a track

i can get live to play in PTLE, and i can get it to play with record enable on the blank audio track i created for it. but when i actualy hit record then play, i can still hear it, but nothing records. i created an aux track which is bringing LIVE into my session, and i have it (re)wired to the audio track. it registers in both meters(aux and audio tracks) except when i record. when i record it only registers in the aux track, though i can still hear it on my monitors. i am sure it is something small that i am missing... please help

rewire it into the aux track, then buss the aux track to the audio track for recording.

not working. Live is rewired into the aux track. rewire output mix l/r. aux track input-no input. aux track output bus 1-2. audio track input, bus 1-2, output analog 1-2. i can get live to register in the meter for the aux track, but not the audio track...i can hear it. but i cant record it.

Try keeping it on the Audio track then bus the rewired audio track to another audio track for recording. That's how I usually do it.

That all sounds correct. Is the audio track record armed?

ok, so i got it too work by bringing live in on an audio track...i am still curious as too why it wont work bringing it in on an aux track like it should. it has to be something with the way i am setting it up...oh well thanx for your help...if anyone has any suggestions with bringing it in on the aux track i would like to know

I don't know why it doesn't work through the Aux track. I had that problem ages ago with LIVE 3 and couldn't solve it either. Maybye its a bug that hasn't been reported, that seems highly unlikely to me though. For me, running it through the Audio track sorted me out so I never thought too much more about it.

I have had the exact same problem with trying to record from a "reason" aux track bussed to an audio track.

The audio track was record armed and I could not get a signal at all on the audio track.

I thought I was doing something obviously wrong but maybe its a bug?

funny, this happened to me the other day. i thought maybee its so late im overlooking something. maybee not. another wierd thing is that my click tracks dont work on aux tracks, i have to make an audio track. maybee it is a bug.
