Is this, 'Not tested on Mojave, but should work', or will Mojave not be compatible. Anyone on Mojave try this version?

Thanks.

I read here often but rarely write. I've been a re-recording mixer for 30 years and thought I'd post a Bounce speed test for anyone interested.

The project is a large 5.1 session with about 70 stereo and mono sfx tracks as well as foley, group and the works. Dialogue, pfx, music, etc. too of course.

Yes. There are specific issues for the M1 on certain models that do not apply to all Apple Silicon which is the reason for separate sections.

Curious about the plugins in use in your session. And this is only an audio bounce? (I ask because the Apple Silicon release notes seem to show AVE still being under Rosetta)

What about plugins that are not yet M1/2? Is that a thing? Will they be disabled?

Yes if started up in Apple Silicon mode which is the default now.

confusing me :

Apple Silicon known issues :

"Melodyne is Rosetta only, and will not install with Pro Tools if Rosetta is not already installed. Effects Air-Gapped systems only (PT-300227)"

Isn't Melodyne 5.2 native on Silicon Macs as stated on the Celemony website ?

I was hoping for Melodyne ARA floating window in this update.
Unfortunately it's not there..
Avid give us please the ability to have the Melodyne Ara as floating window as well. Because many people who use Melodyne Studio want to tune in parallel at the same time, 2 - 3 - 4 or more audio tracks and the SPACE is needed to be bigger for these tasks.
For example, if you want to tune a string quartet, Melodyne Studio gives you the option to have these 4 tracks (all the blobs of each instrument) on the screen and make the job faster and more creative. It's absolutely important!

Sure thing, and yes just an audio bounce. There's obviously many instances but not a lot of different plugins so hopefully I don't miss any, and I kept it simple in the verb department.

Default Re: Pro Tools 2023.3 is out

Two things has happened after I updated;

1. I have folders in my dock with links to apps/files/folders. All folder enclosed icons went blank after I installed 2023.3. I've seen similar before. Not a big deal.

2. Now this worries me; System settings is totally screwed up. It shows only the general part, but no content! Never seen nothing like it.

I've yet to restart. Fingers crossed.

(Added: a restart fixed both issues. Phu! I hope it was a one-time thing.)
