M audio 1814 Not recognized!
My 1814 interface is recieving power through firewire cable but is not "seen" by my mac or protools. I've been using it for months and all of a sudden this happened. I've download the latest drivers from M Audio and Pace drivers and still no connection is seen. I've also tried a different firewire cable. Don't know what else to try
Thanks Matt |

I've fixed the problem myself, after buying a new interface! The new one still didn't work UNTIL I removed the "lastest" M Audio driver and reverted back to version 1.8.1 from 1.8.4. Recognized interface right away and Protools opened for the first time in TWO WEEKS. So, before you spend $400 dollars to replace the interface that isn't busted, try getting a hold of the driver you were using when Protools was operational. Maybe this is a rookie mistake on my part but I thought updated versions of drivers were supposed to fix things not bust them
