Default New Song For You Mac Lovers!

The song Is called "Same Price For Nothing" I
co-wrote.

http://www.chrisclouse.com/Brandons%...%20Nothing.mp3

equippment....

4 Shure Beta 57a
1 AKG D112
2 Rode NT 1000's
2 Baby Blue Bottles
1 Neumann U87 Ai
1 Avalon AD 2022
1 Cranesong HeDD 192
1 Presonus Digimax
1 RME AD-I 8

Accoustic was done with a DI, a neumann u87 AI at the sound hole and A Blue Baby Botle right by the players ear pointing down. There were 3 takes. Left, Right, and middle. 3 tracks for each take, no eq just some reverb on the DI.

drums were done with Beta57a on snare NT 1000's on toms, Baby Blue Bottles for OH's, D 112 for kick and A neumann U87Ai for the room. Room was about 25oo SQ FT with high celings. I was very impressed with the neumann with OMNI. Really brought the drums out.

VOX are scratch! this is just a Rough mix I did in 15 min on some Sony MDR-V900's

HOPE YA LIKE IT!

Drummer, that song is great and the recording quality is tops. Love that prechain you have setup here. That is what I call pro quality. I'm going to record some acoustic guitar with a similar pre chain. Soundelux U99 at sound hole, Rode NTK angled at bridge >Great River MP-2NV>HEDD192>PTLE 5.3.1.

Dude you are soon to be famous. Keep up the great work.

I love how Macs can produce that very polished high end while still maintaining the warmth in the mids and lows. PC's always yeild a very brittle upper register, although I must say that I love the low end bump you can get out of a PC. Wait until Linux computers become the mainstay. They produce a sound almost identical to analog gear.
