Default Setting up M-Audio KeyRig 49

Hello all.
I've never setup a midi device in PT in all the time I've used it. Now I'm going to setup the above device and I'm not having any luck. I can get the controller's KeyRig software to recognize it and play sound, but I can't seem to figure out how to create the midi instrument in PT. There's no manufacturer dropdown for M-Audio in the Midi>Create section.

Can someone help out please?

Hello Carcaridon,

You have managed to get sound out of a Key Rig 49 MIDI keyboard using M-Audio's KeyRig software on Win XP SP3, haven't you?

I've been trying to do that (use it with the Key Rig software) but I get an empty list of MIDI input devices. After trying everything possible, including M-Audio's tech support forums and all their instructions (of course), I'm desperate. They seem to not be able to answer beyond generic information (other users have the same problem...).

Since you succeeded in making your Key Rig 49 work with its own software, would you have any information or anything trick that you discovered that could help?

I hope I am not too bothersome, posting this on this forum, but you are the only person I found who seems to have it working on XP SP3.

Thank you very much in advance for any information you can give me.

Best regards

I'm also having some difficulty with setting up my KeyRig 49.

I'm just recently bought an Mbox 2 with Pro Tools 8 and would like to use my keyrig with Xpand2, but I can't select the keyrig as a midi input because it isn't listed. If anyone can help me with this, it would be much appreciated.
