Default New Solid State Logic XL 9000 K-Series module for Softube Console 1

Wow, new Solid State Logic XL 9000 K-Series module for Softube Console 1 available!!!

Quote:
While Solid State Logic's SL 4000 E is widely considered a great pop and rock'n'roll console with its slightly gritty and forward sound, the circuit design of XL 9000 K offers an extreme bandwidth, minimal phase shift and super low distortion. This makes it one of the world's most popular analog consoles for hip-hop and R'n'B, where the solid, deep low end and extended highs work great for getting that hyper modern, large and wide sound. For the same reasons, it is also loved for classical and acoustic audiophile recordings.
More on this HERE.

You know I was thinking about the SSL duende's version.

Console 1 would have more traction if you could substitute different channel strips.....

I am thinking like a plugin format that allows it to map to the console1. that way you could use all kinds of different channel strips.

I'm demoing for a couple of days and I really like it.

What I like the most is Softube's implementation of VHD - Variable Harmonic Drive - known from SSL SuperAnaloue gears.

Though it's not THAT sound I like for my music as it is the case with 4000E modul, I'm gonna buy it just for having VHD available.

Ah always liked the idea of VHD. Have you considered using NLS with your Console 1 4000E??

I was s never able to get my hands on a real SSL with VHD, so I don't really know how well the implementation panned out. Clearly many people like it, however.

I have Waves NLS these days. Not the same, but still sounds funky too my ears. I believe the Drive knob introduces a similar concept, at least that's the impression I get.

Not the same, just an alternative.

Idea about Console 1 is to have everything in logic, easy to use and of course without sacrificing a sound. It provides everything I need and I stopped using the most of other plugins I have (and believe me, I have them a lot) so I never tried to combine NLS & C1.

I have SSL Alpha Channels so I know how VHD work in reality.

Waves NLS was my go-to plugin before I have purchased Console 1 back in February. Though I had VCC, NLS even was my first choice while I was using PT 10 (I hated VCC for being CPU hog and never was safe with it, when will it cause my system to poof.
