PT LE + Complete Production Toolkit to PT11HD

Can anyone advice me please?

I had PT8LE + CPTK. I have been recommended to buy LE crossgrade to PT10. Which is what i did because Avid dont offer PT8LE + CPTK to PT11 HD upgrade. So i have bought the LE crossgrade to 10, which came with 11.
But do i now have to buy the PT10+CPTK upgrade to PT11HD to get my CPTK features?

Its more money, but if thats what I need to do, then its what I shall do.

My understanding is if u have the cptk, then u already have the capabilities of the hd system at least with 10. U may not want to spend more money just yet.

Does PT11 work with CPTK? Thouhgt only PT10 + CPTK worked otherwise why would anyone upgrade to HD11? I would NOT wait much longer to upgrade as Avid might just take that upgrade path away and then you won't be able to do anything passed this version.

I hope someone else with a 100% certainty jumps in but if it were me I would see if PT11 even works with CPTK before it is too late to upgrade to HD11.

Christopher is offering good advice regarding the upgrade to PTHD11.

The CPTK will not work with PT11. It ends at PT10.

Yes, as mentioned, though you can still use CPTK in 10, you may want to do the upgrade simply because it may not be around forever. When you do the HD upgrade, you also get HD10, so you can still keep working in 10 with all the extra features if you want to.

So if I upgrade to 11HD I get 10HD. Which means my 10 + CPTK gets eaten in terms of licenses. BUT I get all the CPTK features in PT10HD, so no real change to my setup.
Then when I finish my current work load I can start to use PT11HD. That sound right? Will pro tools 11HD be able to use a 003 desk for I/O still?

The real clear downside of upgrading is that you're locked into much higher upgrade prices going forward.
