Mem Upgrade for GA-EX58-UD3R Mobo
Hi all - this is my Win 7 64-bit machine running PT 10.2 Native. I've got 6 GB DDR3 now and I'm looking to up the memory at "today's prices".
This is the EX58 board (not a 58-A board) - so it has 4 slots for memory - the first 3 white ones being DDR3 and a blue one (no memory in it). I think I'd like to upgrade to 12 GB DDR3 (3 sticks of 4 GB). At the Gigabyte site, they show the only "approved" mem is a pricey Samsung 4 GB stick - about $200 a stick! Anyone recommend an arrangement and memory brand they're running smoothly with? |
