Default ot - building a screening room

we're moving into a new space in about 6 months, and there is a screening room there, big enough to seat 40+ i think. its mostly for the animators to have a nice fancy place for dailies, and to have a good facility to show off works in progress to tours or whoever. however, i'm really trying to spec it out to work for a room that i could do some mixing in, and one that would at least sound pretty darn good if they're playing back something in progress.

can anyone recommend equipment / resources / web sites / people that might have some good tips on this sort of thing? i know all about the studio side of things, but its has been many years since i've dealt with anything remotely live-sound-ish.

thanks.

Here are a few places to start:

Check out the JBL line of cinema loudspeaker products. They have some stuff that is very affordable. QSC amps seem to be pretty popular in the small to mid-size rooms. Also, if you're serious you've got to have a perf screen like a Stewart, etc. Check the Dolby site for surround encoder/decoder options. And make sure to get someone knowledgable to shoot the room and make everything sound nice.

Suffice it to say that this gear would make for a kickass mix stage as well.
