I do have a HDX-rig and I'm also planning to buy an interface that comes with PTEX. (See my first post)

Is the Pro Tools Express versions related to regular Pro Tools versions (10, 11 etc)?
Does it follow the full versions updates in some way?

It is kind of PT 10.3.4 and if you have a new laptop you won't like its compatibility. That's why I suggested you first check whether or not you can upgrade that to full PT12 with support plan.

I have an older MBP without TB, otherwise I would have looked at the UAD Apollo Twin.
I'm gonna check if it's possible to upgrade the PTEX to PT12, but I don't think I want to buy another PT License/Support Plan at the moment. (Depending also on how much it is)
Since I'm just gonna use the mobile rig occasionally, I think I'll use my iLok with the HD licenses for now.

If I had a PTEX license and could upgrade I would, even if it meant dropping support after 12 months. Non-issue for me as I have two PT12HD systems and a spare PT8HD

I have redundant licenses of HD7, HD7.2 and HD8 sitting on my iLok.
Don't know what to do with them.
Do they hold any value on the second hand market?

You can always try selling them on eBay or Buy&Sell on this forum. However, I would keep that HD8 because that works for PPC/Intel transition era computers (meaning PCI-X and PCI-express cards).

I've ordered the last available unit (Fast Track Solo).
Duo was out of stock.
My dealer told me I'll be able to upgrade to Pro Tools from PTEX, since all products that require an iLok are eligible.
Hope that's true.
If it is, that's a very good deal for the full version of PT!

Another (stupid) question:
If I have a license of PT(12), can I run it on my Mac Pro with my Omni Interface and native plugins?
