setting up
hello I have recently purchased a mbox pro and am running protools 11 LE. I am also using a mac mini with a mavericks os. Everything has downloaded correctly and i think i have everything connected properly. I have also connected a keyboard into the rear panel (line in 1 & 2 ) of the mbox but while I am getting a sound registering on the mbox LED levels, I cannot get any volume adjustment by using the gain controls and I have not been able to get a signal from mbox into protools to record. I am sure it has to be a matter of selecting the correct in and outs etc but as yet i have not been able to have any success. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
cheers Loftus PS all this system is brand new and i have not updated any versions of anything |

Re: setting up
Check the i/o setup and verify you have it done properly. Then select correct input channel on your track, and you should see the meter jump as you hit notes. If you then don't hear anything, double-check that the track has output set to the ones you use for monitoring.

Re: setting up
Thanks everyone, I am having a bit more success and can now record into protools. It seems the record box in each track must be checked before a signal is seen on the indicator. What a newbie!!! oh well, it's a long road ahead
