3rd party interfaces
hey guys, I just switched to pro tools from cubase 6 and im having trouble trying to figure out how to use my audio interfaces with pro tools. I'm not going to list all my gear here as I am assuming that this is one of those support things where its gonna show all the gear i put in earlier anyways?
Thanks, Pat.M |

Re: 3rd party interfaces
Im sure it will all be great once i get it setup, but how do i do that? I'm transitioning from Cubase (where it is ridiculously easy to set up an interface).
How do i set up my hardware input and outputs with Pro Tools? Thank you for the response! |

Re: 3rd party interfaces
a) do you see the interface(s) in AudioMIDI Setup?
b) if yes, hold the N key down when booting Pro Tools to select the interface you want to use c) go to the I/O Setup window in Pro Tools to define you I/O paths

Re: 3rd party interfaces
For the Firestudio:
First, make sure that you have the Presonus software downloaded and installed (if you don't already) http://www.presonus.com/products/FireStudio/downloads Then, open up Pro Tools, click the "Setup" menu option, "Playback Engine...", and then select "Presonus Firestudio" from the top dropbox. To customize the i/o, go to "Setup", "I/O...", and adjust things from in there. Best of luck! You'll love it.
