Were you using the 3G switch in 7.4? This I wouldn't mind investigating and finding the source. What plug-ins are in this session?

Agreed.

YES! oh please oh please oh please! Fully customizable key bindings for every command like PEAK has.

And, hey, I'm in PT 8 hrs/day at work and avg maybe 15-20 hrs wk at home. So I'm right up there with ya. There are just some things I don't do often enough to remember keyboard shortcuts for, and for those, I need something faster than bumbling through layers of main menu items. That's where right clicks excel for me. Not a waste of code at all from my POV. I agree that automatic PDC should have been the higher priority, though. I think we'd be hard pressed to find any customer disagreeing with that.

I'm not in the studio right now but as I remember; about seven colossus instruments, lots of waves, (Eq, comps, gtr3,) I think 1 sansamp proceeded by dither, no tuning, reverbs are hardware, maybe 35 audio tracks. I had to send a rough mix to the label so I believe ozone 3 sits on the master. Oh, and BFD2 and Trilogy.

Core 2 duo @3 GHz
4 gigs of ram
No 3G switch at this time. Gone back and forth on that one.

Someone will have to fill me in on that one. Spaces?

In PT 8, Window > Arrange > ... & Window > Configurations > ...

Those will probably get you there in the tidy department.

I want a true F11 Full Screen mode without out those ugly Title and Menu Bars taking up valuable screen space. Until then I did it myself. Here is a 50% image of my full computer monitor...no Title bars, no Menu bars, just 100% PT the way it should be. This one has a Logic vibe to it, when I select a track, the channel strip to the left updates to the selected track...and I can still access my main file menu with the Alt modifier.

I access many main menu items that don't have commands with the alt modifier.

But I still need user defined key commands and macros. PT is obviously running out of key bindings.

...and LE will be 10 years old in 2009...and still no PDC. Unreal...that is definitely one for the history books.

Well, many of those I dont have or I would start the search for the culprit. If you have the time, try and see if it's one or a group of those combined that is giving you the CPU hit. I'll do a search with the ones I have.

Back to the original topic, I have many complaints regarding PT 8. More later. I wanna see who spots what first.
