Default -9073

Hi,
I've been getting -9073 error messages
when playing the demo session that I copied onto a Cheetah 15000 RPM 73GB from the installation CD.
The error says that the hard disk is too slow or it is fragmented.
But it is brand new, and the demo sessions were the first files that were copied onto the drive.

I've tried lowering the sync rate to 20/10 MB sec
in the SCSI bios settings. And also changed the play back buffer size to 2 or even 8.
But the error still appears

Thanks
Tomio

Under your hard disk controllers check your IDE controller properties and make sure your in dma mode and not pio mode.

this fixed my problem with my second audio drive.

Tomio,

Make sure you do not have another copy of the demo session installed on another drive. Pro Tools may be reading the session files from a location other than the SCSI drive. Also, eject the installer CD before opening the session. You can confrim that Pro Tools is reading the files from the correct location by check "Full Path Names" from the Audio Bin menu in the Edit window.
