upgrading RAM - macbook Pro
Hi there. I downloaded bunch of plug gos last night and they were really great but I constantly had CPU overload problem. but the real problem is - I have already upgraded my RAM before so now it's 2 gigs which I think is the limit for my macbook pro.
so here's my question, is there anyway to install more rams in my mac??? I just don't think 2 gigs cut it. my sessions are usually fairly large size. or is there a such thing as good/faster rams than others?? if anyone can help me i'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks! |

Re: upgrading RAM - macbook Pro
According to Other World Computing, you can put 3 gig in. Apple recommends matched RAM, but OWC claims to have tested it with 2 (matched) and 3 (unmatched -- a 2 and a 1) and it was faster.

Re: upgrading RAM - macbook Pro
I just checked and I think that's for intel core 2 duo ones only....mine is intel core duo. not 2.

Re: upgrading RAM - macbook Pro
Have you looked at the Activity Monitor to verify that it's memory. From the message your reporting your out of CPU if so memory won't help.
