The current playback engine does not support a sample rate of 48 kHz.
My Digi003 recently died, just in time for PT9. I bought the upgrade and purchased a Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56. I did all the installations as instructed. However, I keep getting the following message: The current playback engine does not support a sample rate of 48 kHz.

Re: The current playback engine does not support a sample rate of 48 kHz.
That's correct...lowest buffer on a 3rd party interface is 64.

Re: The current playback engine does not support a sample rate of 48 kHz.
He's talking sample rates, not buffer size.
I get this error every now and then. Sometimes because something else (ie Youtube) is using the interface before I open PT, and other times I have to power cycle my interface and PT to get it to show up right. Unsure why this is though. |

Re: The current playback engine does not support a sample rate of 48 kHz.
This seems to be a problem when you use your interface to play back your Mac audio. PT and your Mac are trying to access the same interface and usually the Mac wins. Try switching your Mac to Internal Speakers in the system prefs and start up PT9 afterwards.
I find that if I use my interface to play back the computer audio that PT seems quieter. Then I realized that the computer was controlling the volume of the interface. Raising the computer volume fixes this, but it's a better practice to set the computer audio to internal speakers before starting PT. |
