Default Pro Tools 101 Course

Hello all. I'm taking a Pro Tools 9 101 course through ProMedia in Feb. Has anyone taken a PT course before?

Well I gather some of us have taken the certification before...

Is that your only question?

Ok, silly question...lol How many courses are required for the cert? Are their multiple tests? I have a background in IT and wanted to know if the PT cert track is like an IT track.

Assuming you are going the Music route (there is an equivalent for Post). Have a look here.

contrary to what most people think, there is no such thing as 101 certification. there are a total of 4 courses and tests before you are actually certified.

101
110
201
210

its not until 210 that you are actually certified. then from there, there are certifications in many categories.

each course consists of a thick book that you must know about everything. the tests are a random selection of 50 questions out of a pool of 100's. you get 3 attempts, and each attempt is a different set of questions.

good luck in your quest. :)
