Macbook Pro to Scarlett 18i20

After installing 12.5.0 I'm having trouble outputting the audio to the Scarlett. I'm good with input and the output is set to the Scarlett but no sound or meter action on the Scarlett Mix Control software. This worked just fine before installing 12.5.0.

Anyone using this setup? Suggestions?

One other wrinkle. I just installed Sierra on the MBP.

I'm not a Mac guy, but does Focusrite have beta drivers out for Sierra? If you wan't to play around and test Sierra that's one thing, but if you want a working setup, don't use a beta OS.

Sorry- I misspoke. I did not install the sierra. It was the update ElCapitan 10.11.5 that I installed.

What's been done:

Installed newest 18i20 drivers, Trashed PT prefs with Trasher, MBP Sound Preferences input and output set to 18i20, PT Hardware setup set to 18i20, Playback engine set to 18i20, PT I/O set to 18i20 both input and output set to default. 18i20 is gen1.

I can record fine but cannot get any output to the 18i20, no sound. Can play anything else through the 18i20 with MBP sound prefs set to the 18i20. Again everything worked fine before installing 12.5.0.

I've been struggling with this every night for over a week. Lost a client project because I can't get it together.

Do you have the lastest software from Focusrite for using their interfaces installed? Have you tripple checked that their mixer isn't muted or that all the settings are correct there?

Yes, I do have the latest software for the 18i20 and I have the latest drivers. Right now I'm going through the manual for the 18i20 to determine if I have the mix control set up properly. I'm going to consult the gurus on the focusrit forums to see if I can get something from them.
