Default Can I undo a bonehead move?

I am using Pro Tools 10 on a Mac running OS 11.5. I was in a rush and made the mistake of saving a session before exporting the tracks to either AIFF or WAV format. When I re-opened the session the audio information was missing. Is there a way to retrieve the audio information and save the session?

I don't know how you fix it, but why would you export before saving?

Why are you exporting at all? Please, please, please don't say, "Somebody told me ..."

Always save before doing...well, anything. Stuff doesn't always get written to the disk before you explicitly save it...

Just rockin'...what more is there?

You're being a little vague here Marc. Please explain all of the steps that led you this dilemma. Pro Tools is non-destructive, your original audio files must be somewhere.

Go into your session file backup folder and open one of those. See if the files are there. If you IMPORTED the files, but do not have "copy files on import" checked in your setup preferences, you may indeed have to wait for it to attempt to relink to the files. Are ALL of them missing?

Why not import the exported files?

Cheers,

He never exported any files. Actually, we're not totally sure what the OP did.
