Can not import an mp3
I have a song that was recorded using Audacity. It was exported from there as an mp3. When I try to import it into pro tools it will not import. I go to file > import and then click this file and import and it does nothing. I click convert and it does nothing. When I click on other mp3 files it will load them, but not this one. I went back into Audacity and saved it as a WAV file and tried to import that into Pro Tools, but it still wouldn't load. Any suggestions on how to get this one to import into Pro Tools?

Re: Can not import an mp3
I figured it out. I downloaded a converter and converted it to an AIFF. Then it importeded into Pro Tools.

Re: Can not import an mp3
yup.. pretty straight forward.. pro tools only supports wav or aiff
the convert option is for when you're importing an audio file which does not match your session settings, ie 24bit 48khz session, but your audio is in say 16bit 44.1k, it will covert it so you can use it on your session... i believe this is the case as well when you're importing a stereo interleaved file, pro tools will convert it to two mono files, left and right...
