Pro Tools LE and Windows 8

I recently brought a digidesign 003 and it came with the the pro tools le cd...It dosent even load when I click to start the program....I installed everything,but no luck

Is it even compatible with Windows 8 or must I upgrade??

Sadly, it IS this complicated. Windows 8 is too new for anything but PT11, although many seem to have 10 working(not sure if its supported). Assuming the hardware(the 003) has not already been used to get the upgrade discount, you might be able to buy 11 for $399(and the ilok asset includes 10, so you actually get and can use both 10 and 11). The serial number is the ticket to the discount. Beyond that, if you got a transfer form, so LE8 gets registered to you, you will be able to download the LE8 installer, and the 8.0.5 updater(which you will also need), and that MIGHT work on Win8 Wish I had better/easier news for you. It might be worth enlisting the help of a local Pro Tools user to guide you thru the initial startup.
