Selling Pro tools HD Rig: ilok transfer question

im selling my pro tools hd2 rig with pro tools v8 software plus like 20 TDM plugins.

im going to do the trick of buying a new ilok and transferring all my licenses there then removing that new ilok from my account (still in grace period trick
and give it to the buyer of my rig.

now, supposly PACE gives you 7 days grace period...

What happens if i remove that new ilok from my ilok account and the new buyer does not register the new ilok within those 7 days?

what happens after?

does that ilok with all the new licenses get automatically synced back to me even if some else tries to register it?
does the ilok with all those licenses just doesnt work anymore?
or does the ilok just waits to be registered by the new owner?

Hi,

Yes, if it's not registered within the 7 days, then it can still be registered to a new account, but it will be permanently fixed to the account it is registered to, so no more moving around.

The biggest problem is likely to be when you try to remove the new ilok from your account!! As some vendors don't allow this without their permission etc. so it's not such an easy way to transfer auths. Sonnox, DUY, TC electronics, etc.

lucklily i dont have those plugs.

i think i got the licenses the same way. i bought my system used from dutchmuzic in ebay and it came with an ilok and which i just synced to my account.
