Whilst I recognize that not everyone on the DUC is Christian, I want to take a sec and salute those that are and those that are still questioning... (for those that aren't, there's still time...)

A great price was paid many years ago for us. I thank God and Jesus Christ for that.

I pray that God will bless all of you, Christian and non-Christian alike this year..

Good post Danny. We lose focus of that on these forums maybe because..... well I don't kno why...

But I kno I love & am a God fearing man, I must admit, if it were me that had to carry a cross & be whipped & pierced in the side & thorns in my head, or my Son, THE DUC WOULDN'T EXIST!!! Nuthin would!!! Haha...

While I am an Atheist, and it confuses me how people could believe in something so astonishing with zero facts to support it, well actually I can believe it, because I was raised Christian, and attended religious school, and really believed what I was being told for over 20 years. But after actually looking at the facts, I can no longer believe a god exists, you can make an argument for a Deist god, but.... well this is not the place We are all Atheists, I just believe in 1 less god then you do.

And all that to say this:

Thanks for wishing us all well, and as an objectionist, reason based atheist, I of course wish the best to all of you, and if you believe in a god, then there is still time to see the facts and use reason


And to my fellow Atheist, just because we dont believe in the "cause" of the holiday (even though the real cause is a pagan based ritual) does not mean we cannot participate in the cultural holidays of Easter, Christmas, ect... even staunch Atheists like Richard Dawkins have no problems with christmas trees, religious music and the like. So proclaim you are an Atheist, then participate in society, and never oppress those who choose to practice religion peacefully.

Couldn't agree more Key! Great to see so many Christian brothers on the DUC. Thanks Danny for your post. I think it's awesome that we can all (from different parts of the world) celebrate and be grateful for Jesus' selfless sacrifice for our sins despite how worthless we are if judged on our own merit.
