Default SC48 replacing headphone jack.

SC48 replacing headphone jack.

I need to replace the headphone jack on a clients SC48. I have had the console apart a couple of other times including when first purchased to install the Digital output card. So I am familiar with the console.

I just watched a YouTube video on how to replace the jack. My question - is there any reason to not just cut the old one out and replace it with a metal one that will hold up better than the plastic one in there?

Default Re: SC48 replacing headphone jack.

Sometimes using a metal jack will ground the jack to the console, and can create hum or electrical charge if the power isn't clean.
