PT8 on G5's
Hi guys,
I'm a Logic 9 user and am going to start using Pro Tools (M- Powered) as well. Looking at Avid's compatibility grid, I see my OS is fine for PT8, but can anyone tell me if my G5 will have any issues running it (see my signature for spec. details)? My G5 is old, but she's been solid from the day I got her. Below was copied from Avid's comp. grid: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) * Pro Tools HD 7.4.1, 7.4.2, or Pro Tools HD 8 is required for Leopard * Pro Tools 7.4.2 requires Mac OS X 10.5.3 or 10.5.4, and is not compatible with earlier versions of Leopard (not tested with 10.5.5 or higher) * Pro Tools 8.0 requires Mac OS X 10.5.5, 10.5.6, 10.5.7, or 10.5.8, and is not compatible with earlier versions of Leopard Thanks.

I'm using a G5, version 11.2 (Oct 2005), 6 gb of ram, FW 410, Glyph 250 for audio. Runs well. My sessions aren't too elaborate mind you, no symphonies etc. FWIW
