Default Re: $99 Annual Upgrade Plan Question

Hello

I am currently a Pro Tools HD11 User, but without Avid-Hardware (using Apollo). As most of my favourite features are now in PT "Vanilla", i want to cross-/upgrade to PT 12.3 Vanilla. As i have, beside my HD licenses, also the licenses for PT 10 and 11 Vanilla on my Ilok-Account, i wonder if i can upgrade to PT 12.3 Vanilla using the 99$ upgrade plan (and of course loose the HD license in the process)? Could someone from Avid please share some information on this?

Thanks and regards
Bertrand

Hi Bertrand

Unfortunately there are no avenues to downgrade from HD to non HD nor any way to crossgrade from said versions.

The only way is to either buy a secondhand non HD PT10/11 version and get on the annual plan or use the monthly subscription plan.

The PT bundle you have with non HD versions can not be separated and same with the HD versions, they are in a locked bundle so you would need to get a non HD PT12 version another way.

Hi All,

I use PT 11.3.2 HD to run multiple videos for my post work.

What will it cost me to get on 12.3??

I'm happy with PT11HD for my music and post projects but will I get punished for only running HD for post work??

Thanks for any help on this!

I strongly suggest waiting until December 31st, no way Avid is going to stick to that 599.00 BS. They will crumble before then.......They are hiring way too badly for money right now.....
