Default mafw.sys BlueScreen

Hi,

Windows 7-64 ultimate and FW410

My system randomly crashes on a "cold boot" up with a BSOD and specific messages pertaining to the FW410 driver (mafw.sys ). Everything else runs smoothly with absolutely no problems.

On a "reset", Windows then goes through a long and drawn out attempt to find a "solution" and then eventually gives up. A third reset and everything works fine.

I've seen another post in a different forum where someone posted almost exactly the same issue but didn't get a response.

It seems this happens mostly when I cold boot. I don't recall it happening even once from a reset / restart.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Anyone got some suggestions on troubleshooting?

=== More Information Below ===

Here is the failure report.

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 1000007e
BCP1: FFFFFFFFC0000005
BCP2: FFFFF88006F5A0AD
BCP3: FFFFF8800700D6D8
BCP4: FFFFF8800700CF40
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 256_1

I've tried the following

1) power management is set to performance mode.
2) memtest ran 2 days with no errors
3) all drivers are updated.
4) reinstalled M-Audio drivers win-7-64
5) updated BIOS P6T to latest
6) ran windows memory diagnostics
7) OS - fully patched

I've noticed that the drivers listed on the m-audio web site describes a version 6.0.1_5.10.0.5058 driver and the file is FireWire_6.0.1_5.10.0.5058.exe

Once installed, the drivers in Windows reports back the following.

mafw.sys Sound Driver
M-Audio Delta FW Audio Driver (WDM) Version 5.10.00.5058

There is something messed up with this driver as some of the key files don't really appear to have changed from the 32 bit version to the 64 bit version.

Yep, exactly the same. Blows my Windows 10 times a day. Total piece of crap.
