Default where do I get the response when updating to PT9

I have the iLok key ready to go and the PT9 software installed. when I launch PT it generates a Challenge code but where do I go to get the Response??

Ah the fun of upgrading.

Are u certain that is for PT? u shouldn't be gettin a CH/RP for that unless ur ilok isn't reading...& if that were the case, it wouldn't launch if I'm IIRC...

u sure it isn't a plug?

When you say your ilok is ready to go, did you go to your ilok account and download the PT9 authorization?

I know this thread is a little old but im having the same issue with finding the response to the challenge, i have registered my iLok and download the drivers and installer client but cant get past the protools authorization because of the dam challenge and response. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Plug the iLok with the license into a USB port.

Ive done that before, but just reading a little more carefully now it tells me that it can not find the license on my iLok device where might i find this license?

It should have been deposited in your iLok account. Aside from owning an iLok, you must also transfer your licenses onto the key before using them.
