Default automating a delay setting

I don't do much automation so I need some help. I have a vocal part on a song where I want to automate the delay plugin to gradually increase the feedback on a particular segment of the track, then back down again. It's the Waves Kramer Master Tape plugin that I am using. Obviously I can't manually do this during bounce but it sounds effing cool and I have to have it there.
Help?

Click on auto in the plugins GUI

then select the parameters you wish to automate into the right hand side column

Then in the edit window, click the little down arrow on the track you want to automate (it's under the track name in the automation status of the track)

I believe the ProTools manual calls it the track lane is where you would see midi velocity hits and volume automation aside from the main waveform

You should see a drop-down subtract with the same track color as your vocal track or the aux track where ever you have your delay

You will probably see volume first click on the volume dialog box and it will allow you to pick the plug-in that you automated in this case Kramer master

So you have two ways you can do it you can draw it in manually or you can put the track into write automation mode and play through the track and click and drag the plug-ins settings or just adjust the settings that you want automated in real time via a control service

Cool. When I started the comment it seem like a quick two or three sentence suggestion

Then I realized it was a little bit more detailed,
Glad you got it working

so should I put the track back to "read" when I am done? I got the perfect delay in this part but I don't want to automate anything else on the track. It went to "latch" when I was done. I just want to make sure I don't bungle something up further.

You can tell I am old PT guy... back when I first started, automating was an easy way to screw things up and was almost impossible to undo.
