Best regards!

I don't think there is much public 22.2 material out there in the world.

You may want to contact the NHK directly and ask for permission for some of their R&D test content.

What´s your plan for it? Are you gonna use it for other formats as well? Eg. Ambisonics or other immersive formats? Want to share some details about your inntallation?

It was for a special test, we had some short testmaterial from Fraunhofer, this was ok. Yes, we used Reaper with the IEM Ambisonics Plugins for some test and for upmixing from 5.1 sources, but it sounds not so good, pseudo 22.2.
Is it now possible with a actual Protools Version to make a directly NHK Session with a 22.2 Panner or is it possible to build this with the Dolby Atmos Tools?

You put in a NHK 22.2 system and you have no content?
Can you contact NHK Japan and get some of their demo
material?
I wouldn't put in any Immersive system unless I was dealing
directly with the company.
I have all Immersive formats except NHK because other that Japan
and Asia it has very little market share. Met with people about the format
but it didn't make sense to put it in. Heaven knows I have enough speakers

Hi!

Yes its for research and other things. Its a free configurable system with over 22 geithain r 906 loudspeakers. Now we have build for some months a NHK setup. Before, I made a 11.2 Dolby Atmos setup, this was very good and now I have map a 5.2.4 Dolby in the NHK setup, but only with presence loudspeakers in front and rear, it sounds ok!
A disadvantage from NHK, you can only present a 5.2 core in the 22.2 system, a 7.2 is not possible without reposition from the loudspeakers.
We have write NHK for some demomaterial.
For routing, I use a RME AVB USB interface and Motu D/A converter it works.

RL906 nearfields? The 1" tweeter, 5" woofer very nearfield monitor?
How small was/is this room?

To put 22 RL906 in a room would mean you'd have to bass manage all of them because they aren't close to Dolby spec (and less so at a distance) and you couldn't even get 22 within their designed listening distance of 1m.

I don't think you are getting a good impression of any of these formats with such a limited frequency response speaker. If this is for research, then you've already faltered on this bit.

Hi!

Yes i know, but its for our distance ok and the other advantages like size, coaxial construction, thermo emission, noisefloor from 22 lsp etc.are very important. We have 2.5-3.20 meters and we have directly an O.K. from the Geithain developer for this distance.
Btw, It could become difficult to make a perfect bassmanagment for all speakers with 2 Subs.
