Re: Where is my 12.3.1 update?
I don't want or like to use the Application Manager as I like to do a clean install and I want to be sure I have the installer saved off somewhere just in case - as in just in case the installer isn't in my Avid Account. For example: 12.1, 12.2, and 12.2.1 are not listed in my Avid Account. They were once as I downloaded them from my Avid Account, but they've since gone missing. Fortunately, I have them saved to a couple of places.
No worries, I'll just wait for 12.3.1 to show up in my account. 12.3 is working just fine at the moment. Cheers,

Re: 12.3.1 - thoughts?
I reloaded 12.3 so I could get the Avid Application Manager reinstalled as you get an uninstalled but no Installer that I could find. So got 12.3.1 downloaded .. But before I did the install I looked around to try and find a way to copy the installer or find the dmg and as soon as the install is finished it all goes away - even though you can see a 1.8gb file on your computer, marked as Removable .. I will try it on my main pro tools rig and see if I can actually copy the contents f the installer ... I assume it will show u in my account at some point ... Weird way to roll out updates ...

Re: Where is my 12.3.1 update?
Hmm, log into my account, and only see up to 12.3 installers, none for 12.3.1, what the heck?

If that's the case, maybe they are re-doing the installer since there was some comments about installer disappearing. Also, It's also not in my account either. I'm not that concerned since everything seems to be working for me fine. G

Why do I NOT have 12.3.1 showing in my account ? ..., your updater sucks beyond belief - It does not cater for those with a slower internet connection (Note to Avid; not all your users are in the USA with the luxury of super-duper hi speed connections) - The AVID download manager loses the download completely and does not resume the download (as it should) if the internet signal drops out (it happens all the time in my location, and there no better alternative available either) - Your shonky useless app manager fails to deliver for me every time. So Please AVID ..., Put 12.3.1 , and any / all new (and future) updates directly into my AVID Account (ie; not just on your shonky application manager app) ..., so I can actually download it by using MY reliable download manager . Screen Shot 2015-11-25 at 10.59.39 AM.jpg (this is what I am faced with EVERY TIME with Avids shonky Download manager ..., it has chewed up and wasted sooo many gigabytes and hours by failing to complete any of AVIDs updates , and it has also cost me many $$$ in excess download usage from trying) Last edited by Seafoam_Green; 07-18-2021 at 04:47 PM. |

Re: Where is my 12.3.1 update?
The read me says to use the Application Manager, which I have banished forever from my system. It says it will be added to the download section of a user's account 'soon after release'. Might just take a day or two I guess, and will have to wait. No way I'm reinstalling the stupid Application Manager and starting it at appear constantly.

Re: Where is my 12.3.1 update?
Sorry to those unable to update via Application Manager. (I have passed your comments on to Product Management.)
As the 12.3.1 page (linked from the announcement in Tech Alerts) says, the update is initially available via Application Manager and will be available in Avid Accounts shortly after release.
